So y’all remember the corner coffee station that I did for the very first Craigslist Challenge? Well I decided to take it a step further and freshen it up with a little chalk paint. I’m kinda stuck on this farm house kitchen (thanks, Fixer Upper) so I’ve been *very very* slowly updating my kitchen some what in this style. Painting the coffee station has really been the first major thing I’ve done other than painting the walls a very light grey when we first bought the place.
I decided on a charcoal grey chalk paint with a clear wax coat after trying a couple different wax colors on the inside of the cabinet doors that ended up looking like garbage. It came out even better than I had imagined.
A few finishing touches were added by purchasing this tin coffee sign from Amazon.com, replacing the knobs with larger versions, and topping it off with a marquee letter A that my lovely sister gave me for Christmas… (I believe she got it from Michael’s). I couldn’t be any more happy with the end result. 🙂
